Nina’s Garden

This commissioned oil painting seeks to capture the essence of the client’s happy place, her garden. The scene was a very bright, sunny day and the illuminated objects provided some interesting cast light as warm light bounces up to the underside of the building. Cool, deeper shadows exist among the foliage of the garden plants and transmitted light creates an almost stained-glass effect in the foreground as light passes through the green and blue hued leaves.
